The Rise of NCOSE: A New Era for Anti-Porn Advocacy

NCOSE

Anytime the Free Speech Coalition yabbers about making inroads in Washington D.C., I laugh. I scoff.

Contrary to what FSC tells you, this is what's really happening, and it's not good news for porn. The Democrats are now joining with the Republicans to circle the wagons as the deluge of deepfake scams and sex worker shakedowns on social media are reaping their consequences.

Resultantly, AOC announced she's just joined forces with the old Morality in Media group. They're now an anti-porn lobbying group called  NCOSE, The National Center on Sexual Exploitation. NCOSE seeks to criminalize all sex work and eradicate adult content.

An announcement by Ocasio-Cortez’s office celebrates her bill which proposes to create a federal civil right of action for victims of deepfakes. I've spoken about this.

The statement touts NCOSE as endorsing Cortez' DEFIANCE Act:

“The proliferation of nonconsensual, sexually-explicit ‘deepfake’ images has exploded online, harming hundreds of thousands and threatening to harm anyone who has a photo online. It is past time that our laws catch up and hold the perpetrators of this abuse accountable! The DEFIANCE Act is a critical step forward allowing a path to some justice for survivors through civil remedies. This federal law will surely stop many abusers from creating this exploitive content!”

What's highly significant is that it was the Reagan Republicans in the Eighties who teamed up with the old Morality in Media to go after Big Porn. AOC's alliance represents a seismic shift for the Dems who generally left well enough alone.

But remember what I've been saying about the walls closing in on porn.
